The best way to explore the energy of crystals and invite them into your space is to let them come to you. There are a few steps to take before you set an intention with a crystal and manifest your dreams, wishes or daily affirmations.
The first step is selecting the crystal.
It is best to purchase them from a metaphysical shop or crystal shop where they are cared for daily and displayed in a manner that you can hold and touch them.
Go to the ones you are drawn to.
Silence your mind and remove any negative thoughts. Take a few long, slow, deep breaths and allow your intuition to flow and trust what you feel. Next, wonder around with an open mind and explore the shelves and displays. Go where you are drawn. The best crystals with the highest vibes are the ones that choose you.
If you are new to crystals and have not chosen any yet, start with clear quartz, amethyst or rose quartz. Those will help open your mind to the crystalline energy so you can become more connected to their energy

Once you feel drawn to a crystal, hold it gently in your hands and close your eyes. Breathe and feel the vibration. Pay attention to a few things:
- How you feel?
- What emotions come to you?
- Do you breath heavier or lighter?
- Do your ears ring?
- Do you begin to feel light headed or feel clarity in your mind?
Pay attention to the sensations, vibrations, and emotions that come from the crystal. If you feel connected and you feel like it will work for you, that is your crystal. It is meant for you.
Now that you have purchased your crystal(s), you can set the intention.
First, you might wonder, what is an intention, and why are you setting it?
Think about your intention and give it energy through your thoughts, actions and the use of your crystal. Write down what you are seeking in life, and why. Make sure your intention is good and will raise your vibration once it manifests. Make your intention something that will empower you and/or your life and how you live it. An intention can be something that comes to you: money, abundance, friendship, health, etc. Whatever your intention, keep it high, make sure it raises your vibe and adds momentum to your life.
When you are setting the intention for your crystal, you can use an essential oil that will activate your third eye and raise the frequency of the intention as well as connect you to your spirit. Oils such as myrrh, frankincense, lavender (for intentions such as controlling your temper, being at peace or something of a calming nature), or patchouli. Put a small dot of oil on your third eye and crown, then hold your crystal gently in your hand.
Close your eyes and say, “I call on the energy of this crystal to enlighten me so I may receive the energy of____________ and allow it to fill my life so I may walk my divine path.” If setting the intention for abundance you can say, “I call on the energy of this adventurine (a very common crystal for abundance) to open the channels of abundance into my life so I may walk my divine plan with abundance and use it in the greatest good of my well-being.” Be creative and make your own prayer to set your intention.
Once you have set the intention with your crystal, carry it with you until you feel the intent you set has run its course. Give the crystal attention. Hold it, thank the energy in it, and pay attention to the vibration. Don’t set an intention then leave it on your shelf or in your purse. Carry it with you, and touch it and hold it throughout the day. Rub it in your hands and acknowledge its vibration.
